Newell–Littlewood numbers II: extended Horn inequalities
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Newell–Littlewood numbers N μ,ν,λ are tensor product multiplicities of Weyl modules for classical Lie groups, in the stable limit. For which triples partitions (μ,ν,λ) does >0 hold? Littlewood–Richardson coefficient case is solved by Horn inequalities (in work A. Klyachko and Knutson-T. Tao). We extend these celebrated linear to a much larger family, suggesting general solution.

Some extended Simpson-type inequalities and applications
In this paper, we shall establish some extended Simpson-type inequalities for differentiable convex functions and differentiable concave functions which are connected with Hermite-Hadamard inequality. Some error estimates for the midpoint, trapezoidal and Simpson formula are also given.
متن کاملDeriving Fuzzy Inequalities Using Discrete Approximation of Fuzzy Numbers
Most of the researches in the domain of fuzzy number comparisons serve the fuzzy number ordering purpose. For making a comparison between two fuzzy numbers, beyond the determination of their order, it is needed to derive the magnitude of their order. In line with this idea, the concept of inequality is no longer crisp however it becomes fuzzy in the sense of representing partial belonging or de...
متن کاملOn Finding Solutions for Extended Horn Formulas
In this note we present a simple quadratic-time algorithm for solving the satissability problem for a special class of boolean formulas. This class properly contains the class of extended Horn formulas 1] and balanced formulas 2, 4]. Previous algorithms for these classes require testing membership in the classes. However, the problem of recognizing balanced formulas is complex, and the problem ...
متن کاملPCF Extended with Real Numbers
We extend the programming language PCF with a type for (total and partial) real numbers. By a partial real number we mean an element of a cpo of intervals, whose subspace of maximal elements (single-point intervals) is homeomorphic to the Euclidean real line. We show that partial real numbers can be considered as “continuous words”. Concatenation of continuous words corresponds to refinement of...
متن کاملNewton’s Inequalities for Families of Complex Numbers
We prove an extension of Newton’s inequalities for self-adjoint families of complex numbers in the half plane Re z > 0. The connection of our results with some inequalities on eigenvalues of nonnegative matrices is also discussed.
